Coming back

There will be no starting from scratch as 11 letter winners dive into the season with plenty of depth and strength spread among the leaders.

Leading the squad will be two-year state qualifier Gus Grimstad. Providing more state experience will be Jackson Penny, Andrew Heine and Bradyn Hook.

Coach Storlie’s main concern for the season lies in the possibility of winter weather limiting training opportunities for the team.

Home once

Decorah hosts just one home meet this season.

The Vikes will welcome Mason City and Vinton-Shellsburg Friday, Dec. 20, at 6 p. m. at the Luther Natatorium.

The district meet is Saturday, Feb. 8, with the state meet Saturday, Feb. 15, at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City.
