Due to the circumstances related to COVID-19, Iowa’s Dairy Center has decided to cancel the 2020 Breakfast on the Farm event originally scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
“The health and safety of our visitors is our highest priority and cancelling the event gives us that peace of mind,” says Mariah Busta, Iowa’s Dairy Center Coordinator.
The current economic situation was also factor in the decision to cancel the annual event. “Breakfast on the Farm is made possible by local supporters and we know that many have been financially impacted by COVID-19. We want to be sure that we’re not asking too much from our local businesses or organizations during these uncertain times,” Busta adds.
Although Breakfast on the Farm is cancelled, Iowa’s Dairy Center is exploring other ways to still celebrate National Dairy Month in June. Announcements will be made on the Northeast Iowa Dairy Foundation’s Facebook page.
“We look forward to hosting Breakfast on the Farm once again next year,” says Busta. “Be sure to save the date for June 26, 2021.”
