Library to offer free online yoga for kids

Looking for a way to incorporate movement, mindfulness, and some playful stretching into your children’s routine?

Decorah Public Library is partnering with Mikah Jaschke of Root to Rise Holistic Wellness to offer free weekly online yoga videos for children.

A yoga video is posted on the library’s Facebook page every Tuesday at 9 a. m. However, because they’re on YouTube, families can access them anytime.

“The library is working to provide access to resources that families can use at a time that works for them. We’re also trying to keep videos short, so that families with slower internet can more easily access resources,” says Children’s and Young Adult Librarian Rachael Button. “We’re delighted to be able to partner with Mikah to offer kids and caregivers techniques for self-care and intentional movement.”

Sessions are designed to be welcoming to children of all ages.

These yoga videos are free and available to all. They can be accessed through Decorah Public Library’s website and Facebook page. No yoga experience is required.
