Strong TV performances

Blazing through the course for the Trojans, Class 1A No. 3 Jalyssa Blazek stopped the clock at 20:32.8, earning herself a bronze finish in the varsity girls’ race. Joining the junior on the course were Jaycie Byrne and Cambree Kruse. The pair crossed the finish line back-to-back in the 14th and 15th places, respectively. Byrne notched a time of 22:30.9, while Kruse finished the 5K in 22:36.9.

“Some really good things came out of this meet. I am first and foremost happy with everyone’s time. Based on practices everyone finished pretty much as expected. I had them set a finish time goal and many of them achieved those goals with a few smashing their goals,” said TV Coach Sarah Bakula.

On tap for both

The Trojans and Warriors will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 10, in West Union as North Fayette Valley hosts an invite at 4:30 p. m.
